Mike Bertino is an American cartoonist, animator, writer, director, storyboard artist, and illustrator who has worked on shows for Netflix, HBO MAX, WB, FOX, Disney XD, Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network. He has optioned five projects into series development with Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network, and Disney TV Animation.
Prior to his foray into animation Mike collaborated as an illustrator/designer, working directly for top end companies including BUCK, Playboy, Leo Burnett, NBC Universal, Ford, VICE, ESPN, Business Week, The Wallstreet Journal, McSweeny’s, Chronicle Books, and Time Warner Cable. Mike has also published several books and comics with various publishing companies including Fantagraphics, Nobrow Magazine, Revival House Press, and McSweeny’s.
Mike is currently at BUCK.co as a Creative Director helping to spearhead the company's new ambitions into longer form narrative projects including, but not limited to TV Animation.
